About Shore & Stem

I don't really have one favourite craft. I have a habit of trying them all.

For the past 11 years, I've been creating art and exploring all kinds of different mediums. I love the process of sitting down with an idea and seeing where it takes me—and I'm always up for trying something new.

Over the years, I've tried everything from painting and drawing to pottery, paint-by-number and clay, and plenty of other creative projects in between. Some become new favourites, some become lessons, and some are simply a really enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

That's really where Shore & Stem came from.

I wanted to create a place for people who, like me, simply enjoy making things. Whether you're an experienced crafter or someone looking for a new hobby to try, I believe there's something special about slowing down, putting your phone away for a while, and creating something with your own hands.

We curate creative projects, journals, stationery, and other little things designed to inspire you to make, explore, relax, and enjoy the process.

And then there's my most enthusiastic—and least qualified—creative assistant.

She's always curious about what I'm working on and inevitably has to come over and inspect the latest project. She's been around for quite a few of my creative adventures and has earned a permanent place in the studio.
